Partnership Disclosure

Last updated: 25 May 2026.

Current status

As of this writing, Smart Diabetes Living has no paid sponsorships, no affiliate arrangements, and no commercial partnerships influencing its content. Income comes from book sales.

Future arrangements

If commercial relationships are established in future (e.g. ethical partnerships, sponsorships, affiliate links, paid clinician training, brand collaborations), they will be:

  • Clearly disclosed on the relevant pages, before any content is published.
  • Labelled visibly (e.g. “sponsored”, “paid partnership”, “affiliate link”) in the content itself, not just in fine print.
  • Independent of editorial direction on safety-related, clinical, or technology-neutral content.
  • Reviewed against our ethical framework: does this serve readers, or just revenue?

What we will not do

  • Take payment to recommend specific diabetes technology as medically suitable for individuals.
  • Run undisclosed sponsored content.
  • Allow a partner’s interests to influence safety advice, manufacturer-neutral content, or clinical accuracy.
  • Lock essential support content (e.g. burnout, basic education, emergency information) behind paid arrangements.
  • Take payment for clinician recommendation pathways.

Conflicts of interest

Speaking engagements with diabetes-related organisations are disclosed in Speaking and Media. Clinical contributors (e.g. foreword authors) are disclosed on the relevant book pages and in the Editorial Policy.
